How It Works

A FunBooth is kind of like an old school mall photobooth, but not quite.

Did you ever go in one at the mall and just get some fun pictures? We created our FunBooth based on the spirit of these old booths, using modern digital technology and pro equipment.

It is a place for you and your guests to go and get fun pictures taken at the reception or event. A FunBooth is not a machine taking your picture… it is a photographer! Kind of like a studio set up, but very simple.

Where do you set up the FunBooth?

We would need a space about 10×8 feet to set up, plus access to an electrical outlet. We’ve been in hallways, foyers, etc – but by the bar is always best!

How many people can fit in the FunBooth?

The backdrop is about 9 feet wide… so let’s pack ‘em all in. I’ve seen up to 15-16 people!

How do you get people into the FunBooth?

We always go and shake hands with the DJ or musician and have them periodically invite guests to the photo booth. But then, this is where you come in. To make it a success at your wedding or event – be sure to pass the word around to your friends and don’t forget to visit the booth yourself a few times throughout the evening. If you are printing menu cards or programs, you can also add a blurb expressing how much you would like your guests to participate in the Photobooth, and that it is courtesy of the bride and groom.

Do you print the photos?

Yes and No. We don’t print them on the spot, we upload them to a private gallery and they are available the following day from the event. As wedding photographers first, we began to notice that the PhotoBooths were attracting a lot of attention at weddings, sometimes too much. It’s still a wedding where the focus should be on the bride and groom as they do their first dance, cut the cake, and make their the toasts. By printing on-site, or having a retail type environment as some competitors do – it takes away from the event.

So what we do is give your guests a card (you could provide and engagement photo or company logo for a custom card as well) with the link on where to find their photos online. Your guests have the option to download them for FREE via immediate download (most popular) or have prints shipped to their home. Professional print price for your guests is minimal at $5 each including shipping.

*** Soon we will be uploading in tandem to the site and making them available pretty fast. Imagine – your family and friends will be able to see them on their iPhone’s while still at the event! Launch date to be announced.***

Can I print from my DVD?

Yes! We include a personal usage license with each packaged DVD and point you to near professional quality photo desk-sized prints. In addition to your DVD, we are now including proof sets of all edited images of the night to the bride and groom or company. We can quote you for enlargements or canvas wall art.

What kind of postprocessing do you do?

Usually, as a creative artist – I take the feel of an event and the formality to process all the images in either FunCOLOR, FunMONO, and FunVINTAGE. If you already know what specific treatment you want to your all of your images I will gladly oblige. Only one of the processes can only be applied to the entire set.

{examples coming soon!}

What kind of backdrops do you have?

It’s really about the attitude and personality of your guests – so we like to keep it simple and clean we work with – white and deep gray. Really what we want is your guests funny expressions to shine through. If there is a specific color request, we can quote that backdrop separately. Plain Color Backdrop upgrades such as Pink, Red, Lilac, Blue, etc are only $50. For a Damask Backdrop the upgrade is $100.

What kind of props do you bring?

We have our basic “House” props we bring in that is included in the FunBooth. Mustaches, Dark Glasses, Hats, Sombreros, Boas. Alternatively for themed props such as Luau, Halloween, Michael Jackson, Moonmen, Disco – we can take care of it for a $75 upgrade. Or you can also DIY and bring us your own props. Remember – you don’t need “props” – although they do add whimsy. We’re constantly adding themes, so just ask what you have in mind!
